Hi all! Lol. It's 12:14 Australia time, 9:14 here lol. Estelles bloody phone woke me up this morning. It was like 610 au time and it went off an it was like 3 in hk so I was full pissed and yeah.. It went off again within 10 minutes ahaha. Right now Im at HSBC bank because my parents are going to set up an account or something, not sure what. And there's free wifi so yay! But I just dont prefer the colour of it. I would like a black one iwth white writing for the 'Nikon' part. Canon ones look wierd. Some of the Power shot models look okay, but I dont know. Today was pretty retarded. Got up early cuz I had to have a blood test. Saw who was gonna take my blood, and it was the bitch from ages ago who couldnt find my vein and was like crazy and was poking the needle that was in my arm full hard, which CAUSED NERVE DAMAGE. Whattabitch. Lulz. Anyways. Bolted when I saw her, so it was only Mum who went to getthe blood test. Had to go to Bowral to do it. Bowral was pretty good actually. Had lunch blah blah blah and yeah. Finished packing last night. I'll post pictures up on next post. But yeah. Sorry I havn't been really active on my blog, but yes. I shall be blogging homefully from my iPod in Hong Kong. Most of them won't have pictures, but yeah. So you have to scummage to find batteries. But then again, you can buy batteries anywhere in the world. Lulz. Full want it. Its really nice. 617 (BAD LUCK WITH MYSTERIOUS NUMBERS)

Yesterday was probably my most intense day ever. Sorry for not blogging. After sport went to Mac Square with Avi. Had so many trains to catch wasn't even funny. Got there, blah blah, Avi's getting me a birthday present and yeah. He couldn't find his present for Troy's birthday so he went to get Oporto and went on the train. Lulz. Newais, we nearly missed the train because we were sitting there, and the train was behind us, and it was just parked there, and Avi stood up and was like 'Hey is that our train?' so I'm like oh shit yes! Because it was already 3:45 then, and in 2 minutes our train would leave, so if we missed that one I wouldve been in so much trouble from school. Ahaha. So caught that, and within like 2 minutes, the doors closed. Wooh. Luck. Lol. Got back to my room @ 4:15, talked to Jay for 5 minutes, who brung up the fact that our inning was at 4:30, so I had liek 15 minutes to get ready. Got ready Blah blah, and yeah. Inning was pretty fun. Learnt how to play pool. Ate so much and got sick at night. Ahaha. and Watched Van Helsing & The Waterboy. Both were pretty good. :D. Lol. Wednesday was a pretty good day I reckon. Last Netball for the term too. Yeehargh. :D

Okay. Now today was such a bad day. You know how I mentioned that the number 23 just plagues my life with misfortune. Yeah. Well that happened today again aswell. Maths test, which I knew I completely blew. Wooh. Wuts this, 23/33. Hello getting moved to the front. Argh. And yeah.. every second test I do bad in, because like, I think we do like 3 topics for the Half yearly, and my next topic test will be good, and my half yearly will be bad. Argh. So worried, because I really don't wanna flunk my Half Yearly because that's actually worth alot more than the silly topic tests.

On the other hand though, I did somehow manage to achieve 103.5/104 for my Katakana assessment for Jap. Lol. So nerdy. Hewett said we're the smartest class so far for that test, because over 60% of the class got 100% Lol. It was all like, everyone got called out for 104/104, and then, it was like, EUGENE, 103.5 ARGH. Was so annoyed because I screwed up the 'Mi' I like mirrored it. How stupid of me. Lol. So Technically, so many people tied for 1st place in the class I got 2nd place. Grr. How sucky. That sounds really bad too. Grr. Lol.

On the ligher hand of things, I'm really glad this week is nearly over because I'm going overseas and it's my last week. But I think this term I've grown close to alot of people I wouldn't talk to and didn't know how to talk to. And yeah. This term has been great. Thankyou all for making it such a great time.


Most of you guys would know Labib went to Dubai (Due Bye :() forever on Wednesday, It was his last day. The last time I saw him was after Biathlon. And yeah. Was just thinking how long I've met Labib You know. And yeah. Just gonna write him a dedication.

I remember in Year 7, like I didn't really know anyone, and to be completely honest, I didnt really wanna know anyone either. You were in my DAI classes and possibly the FIRST person I talked to one on one about something I liked (Anime) Lol. But looking back, Year 8 was such a bitchy year for me. Like I was such a bitch to everyone and was full like GRRR to everything and wasn't committed to studies or anything either.. and I guess we could've been friends (better friends I mean) if we cut those boundaries. I feel so sorry now looking back on how we might've been friends and stuff. And I look back on Year 8 and I see how much of a bastard and bitch I was to everyone, and I regret treating everyone in that manner. Honestly, there are still some people I would like to inject arsenic and acid into, but thats an entirely different matter. But Labib, I hope you have a wonderful journey in Dubai, learn what you have to learn, and be prepared for whatever life has instore for you.

Like, I might be getting some from Harrison's parents for my birthday, because they have them, but theyve got a silicon casing around them, and inside theres a light, and then I've got a wooden frame in my room somewhere, so if I hammer it to my wall, I can kinda intricately place the lights in a pattern on it. It'll look nice. But that will take effort, and time.. and i don't have any of that at the moment.

Today was a really great day. Got to school, Bella got me an Anchor Necklace from General Pants for my birthday! Wowzors. Thanks! Lols. Its really nice. The whole sailer thing is coming back in. Ahaha. These a nice jacket at GPC with the anchor crest on it. So nice. Anyways.. was in ag 1st period and was trying to make a mark of the anchor on Amber's leg when Pachiewwww. It snapped off! how retarded. Was full sad. ): NEW NECKLACE RUINED. Actually, I was pretty pissed at the time, but eh. Lulz. Anyways.. Rest of the day was pretty crap. Yes, I am at Roselands again. Lol. Today was pretty great. Felt so good because it was my last tutor lesson for the term and also because on Saturday I'm going overseas. Im really tired right now because woke up at 6:30 and went to sleep at 12. so got about 6 and a half hours sleep which really isnt enough T__T Tonight I know for a fact I won't sleep well.

The boarder guys went to Luna Park today, which was meant to be for my birthday but my parents are lame and sent me to tutor instead. Yeee. What badass parents. Pshk. Way to kill my social life. Eh. Today was the best day ever. Got like so many facebook happy birthdays which practically made my day. Ahaha. First one was from Grace Le. Lol. Full quick man @ 12am. Lol. Newais, at 11:00 went over to Harrison's place and was there with Nick aswell. Um.. waited until Michael got to his place, so we could go see Alice in wonderland! Lol. the plot was really clever. But I thought it'd be much more.. magnificent. But yeah. Scored a well deserved 7/10.

Um.. they shouted me for my birthday, got Coke and Snakes. Om nom nom. :3 Ahaha. Um. Went back to their place, and we went to go Knock and Runs, and it was pretty cool cuz we got a camera and taped all of it. And I was wearing thongs and we were walking around for like 3 hours, and farr.. covered the whole neighbourhood and more, we went down like every single lane. Lol. Um, was pretty cool.

We did so much today. Like during the knock and runs like there were like so many people who answered and it was all like Err.. so anyways they full were sus and like walked around to find us but we were like hiding like ninjas. Ahaha. Full pro man. Hehe.

Went out to dinner with Harrison's family and Nick and Michael @ 6:30 and had a great time. the Restaurant was pretty full, so when they brought out the cake and they were singing happy birthday to me, the whole restaurant basically was and it was all like :') thank you all. Ahaha. They all clapped when I blew out the candles. Had the Ice Cream cake, and yeah. blah blah blah.

Got Home @ 8:30 ish showered and everything and relaxed a bit. Its full nice to go out. I really like it. I think I'm getting my present in Hong Kong were everything is cheaper.. I really want a new camera, and yeah. But Sharon got me Mean girls ♥♥♥! Thankyou Sharon, you're the best. Now I can marathon like, EVERY WEEKEND. :DDD. Today was great. Hey guys, brief posting today because I have a tonne of homework. Okay, so St Patrick day today! Happy St Patricks Day. And also Happy Birthday Patricia and Carly! Hope you all had a great day. (L) Oh the joy. Carly's 15. Phwah She should be in year 10. Lulz. Anyways.. Today was full hot. Got burnt. Had fire drill in Period 2 which was awesome cuz we had Jap so missed out on that alot. After school went to A2N dance thing, hung around, decided it was too hard so went outside with Christina, talked to Genvin, and feel kinda slack cuz kinda Neglected Christina, so she went back inside, and talked to Genvin for like an hour. Today in general was just shit. Feel like crap. Woke up this morning at like 4:45, and was full tired, and couldnt get back to sleep with a dumbass runny nose, so eventually fell back asleep, and then got woken up at 7:15 by McAlpin, and then like next thing I know It's 7:30 and he's screaming into my face saying I've got a 7am report tomorrow! Argh! >< Ffs. Anyways, tomorrow I've got a 7 am, and its mufti and I've got Biathlon and I feel like Crap. Full have to lie down tomorrow, and if they don't let me, I'll have to force them to let me. Argh.. Full feel like crap today. The only decent thing that happened today was in period 6 when I was like falling asleep in Period 6 and Mahfouz let me sleep during the prac.. frkn.. only good thing that happened. Other than that, Im taking cough medicine, strepsils, cough lozenges, cold and flu tablets, and nasal spray. Full have to heal my voice, and nose.. Taking cold and flu tablets 3 times a day, and nasal spary with it. Also Cough medicine every 4 hours and lozenges in between at 2 hour intervals. Argh.. so many things to take when you're sick. It sucks.

Just watched 'The Princess and the Frog'. I loved it. It probably goes level with 'Up' But maybe a bit less. I'd rate it 9/10. It was the best. I loved it. Up was pretty good with 9.5/10, but I'm still trying to find a Walt Disney Movie that can score a 10 in my midst. Overall, this movie was heartwarming, and filled you up with smiles and joy. I can feel my cough just kinda going away now! (Metaphorically). Recommend it to anyone who would love to see something shake up and warm up their day.

Lolwut. My Essay comes up when you type in 'Mandela the Living Legend' And someone on this planet bookmarked it as 'no joke, no shit, kid' LOL. How rude! LOL. Newais, thats my excitement for today. Pretty sure I did really bad in the essay question today. Out of 20 I'm expecting something 12 ish. Full did bad man. Cuz my Essay which i rkn did full good at Kolodziej said It was 10/15 material T___T I mean What the eff, He wrote on the comments 'Quite Well written. Need to improve on linking paragraphs' And on the actual essay he just writes on the first paragraph 'Quite good introduction' and farr.. ticks everything else. How strange.

The director uses film making techniques to either promote or criticise the subject of the documentary. In the documentary “Mandela: The Living Legend” the director Dominic Allan presents Mandela’s heroism as the main theme. Whereas in Robert Greenwald’s “Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch’s war on Journalism”, Murdoch is criticised for his contradictions in Fox News’ “Fair and Balanced” system of reporting world events. Both directors’ use of film and storytelling techniques projects a biased view of each story.

Allan’s use of interviews from people close to Mandela in ‘Mandela: The Living Legend’ give a first person account of what type of person Mandela is shown to be behind all the publicity. During Allan’s documentary, interviews with Mandela’s personal assistant convey a detailed recount of Mandela’s story; therefore giving the audience a direct insight into the life of someone publicised so heavily. The direct interview with Mandela gives more technical detail into the story behind the words and publicity.

In “Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch’s war on Journalism”, director Greenwald is shown to use incriminating past footage of fox’s biased point of view, favouring the Republican Party’s decision and hence being assertively bias against the Democrats. This is shown in past footage when the fox journalist criticises John Kerry as ‘scaring old people as usual’, which is an exaggeration of the truth and can lead the audience to believe that Kerry is what Fox News perceives him to be. Hence twisting the news into a perspective which promotes Fox News’ point of view which alters the way the audience’s knowledge of events.

During the documentary of ‘Mandela: The Living Legend’, the music is used to promote sympathy towards Mandela. The different moods created by the music when the focus of the story changes is a technique used by Allan to target our emotive senses. For example, during the interview with Mandela when he reminisces about the years he fought the apartheid, music was slow and soft, which drew the audience into a feeling of nostalgia. However, sharp and loud tones are used when Mandela is shown to be called a ‘terrorist’ in past black and white footage. The audience’s emotive perspective is altered in response to the change in music.

In Greenwald’s documentary, the sources of information that promote what the documentary presents are all primary sources which are more reliable than secondary sources which are heavily impacted from Fox News. Secondary source such as newspapers usually summarise what certain news stations have said either the night before or in the morning. Fox News being one of the larger news stations will more often than not impact on what is being projected. However, primary sources sourced by people with no association with Fox news at the present time such as Jeff Cohen, who was interviewed by the documentary are sources which can be trusted because Cohen has ‘nothing to lose’ if he restates his past affiliation with Fox. Hence gaining a stronger sense of trust from audience as a response to this use of sourcing.

The use of film techniques to either promote or criticise the certain point of a subject that is used to convey an idea is a highly regarded way of presenting a point of view effectively. The bias in the documentary is usually one sided; therefore it can never be totally objective. Consequently without the bias and techniques a documentary is not a documentary. Hence it is safe to say the balance of bias and techniques as a whole is rather ‘fair and balanced’.

Watched Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief Today. It was really bad, cuz I read the book before I watched it, and He's meant to be 12 and hes percieved to be 16, they cut to the chase and cut out the best bits, frkn.. 5/10. LOL. The mum isn't as nice as she is in the book and argh. I really hate movie adaptions of books sometimes. Its like Harry potter, kept going downhill since I was 5, and look were it is now.
