Mise-en-Scene

So you may remember late last year I made a post called Formal Planning and you may also remember how much I frothed over velvet and Alexander McQueen... well I still love velvet and Alex McQ, but for the past 4 months I've been on a mission to be more... well. Original.

I've made my own formal suit, and bought many other things to go with the whole outfit. Everything cost less than $100! That is honestly the best I've done in a while. The most expensive thing would be my ZARA bow tie, but that's about it.

Which leads me into this post. I've been hunting for accessories that complement my suit and everything seems to be either out of stock or just hate me and won't colour co-ordinate with what everything else would seem to be. I've saved everything into a giant cart on ASOS and if all goes to plan I will be purchasing these next month.... if they don't decide to disappear into the depths of all hell.

I have been literally frothing just a tiny amount over the beauty of silver-wear. I'll probably look like a manic queen of the animals with the amount of jungle jewellery on my fingers on the day.

Currently stuck in a rut with which pieces of jewellery to buy and not buy. Just to give you all a general idea without giving away too much, my suit is a darker navy blue, my shirt is also dark and my bow-tie is the same colour as my suit.

Seriously, everything on ASOS is what I picture Angels to wear in heaven. It's all so divine.

Overflow

Sorry my presence is like a bi-polar teddy bear, but the toll of exams is really catching up on me. The past couple weeks have been just been immense dosages of stress and me tentatively slaving over notepad and pen writing essays about the concept of "The Journey" after Monday I don't think I ever want to hear those two words ever again in conjunction with a question that insinuates an essay... I'm such an angst-y axelottle.

Apart from that I ordered my first ASOS package independently (glasses shown above) with my own moneyz on my own account so that is a true achievement. StyleTempest is running well, albeit slow, still well. Be sure to visit here and buy something if you like it. I'm also working on a photoshoot post that showcases clothing by StyleTempest as well as trying to ship off merch to fashion bloggers to showcase.

Also most posts from now on will mainly feature style. I've changed the ratio of my posts now to 80% Fashion/Style Blogging and 10% personal and 10% food. I hope this change is for the best.

A lot of exciting, revolutionary ideas for eugeneandyen this last part of 2011, and I hope 2012 prospers. (and the world doesn't end because if it did that would suck)

In the meantime, I leave you some photos from a city trip some time ago, that involved some ridiculous colour blocking, and me on the backdrop of The Morning Show... yes. I am one of them, some pictures of out of focus rain which looks brilliant, and other bits of my life you have all have been awaiting so long to find out. (not)
