Hope all you readers had a fantastic holiday season, which consisted of lots and lots and lots of presents, food, family, laughter and love. Christmas this year for me was a little bit of a let down, I didn't really feel as though it was the end of the year / christmas until the actual day! Never the less, it's still great to enjoy the company of friends and family and just eat until you (literally) pass out.

Taking advantage of people and sales as I usually do, I scored myself some bargains from the annual boxing day hunts. Seriously though, the whole of Sydney city on Boxing Day was like a makeshift Asia with people everywhere and everybody barging into one another trying to hoard as much golden treasures as they can find.

How amazing is this Risky Red RVCA fisherman crew from General Pants? I haven't even stepped foot into a General Pants in over a year, but I decided to take a look and I found this beauty down from $100 to $50! It was too good of a bargain not to steal. Bright, vivid reds are one of my favourite colours and its so soft just... perfect.

Living in a technological age and what have you, I'm assuming most of you have heard the scary as all hell prophecy that the world ends in 2012. I'm unsure of what will actually happen but I'm honestly hoping to the good lord up there that it doesn't. Life is too grande. This year has been honestly the most awesome year ever, and to top it off I met the incredible, super, far out, fantastic and unreal CORY MONTEITH from Glee. It's hard to believe he's 29... but I'm still a little awestruck that he was so kind, nice, hospitable and just overall fun. (He gave me a hug)

Anyway, this year has been actually amazing and thank you to al lyouu readers who have beared with my shitty/lack of posting this whole year. So much has been happening and I've actually got ALOT on my plate so 2012 will be a year which I try managing it all.

Food Diary

So about a month ago I ventured off into the realm of Asia - Hong Kong and Macau to be completely anal about it and did many things; shopping, perving, more perving, eating, sleeping, eating, sight seeing, perving, shopping, eating, sleeping and etc. But when I came back home to look through all my photos on my camera, a good seventy percent of my photos were of food.

I guess it's fitting to do just one post on some bits and pieces of the amazing food I ate whilst I was over there, and I think I mentioned this on my twitter but seriously all the food in Hong Kong is ridiculously tasty.

So under the idea that my filthy hands were going to hold $150 if I shaved one side of my hair off, I did it. Turns out as all great friends do they initiate deals but very seldom follow through.

So this radical change was bought about one lovely Wednesday after school, where I trudged over to a barber and for $2 (YES TWO DOLLARS) I got it shaved off. And for $2, it's a pretty good line that got shaved off. Kudos Mr Barber.

I will be absent for the next 2 weeks in Hong Kong, yay for impromptu holidays and all but it leaves me with the ever so infuriating dilemma of *WHAT AM I GONNA PACK AND WEAR THE NEXT 14 DAYS* which probably means I'll be begging on my knees for my parents or random locals to take my photo of my outfit. (When I'm on holidays I usually dress like more of a colour blind idiot)

Mise-en-Scene

So you may remember late last year I made a post called Formal Planning and you may also remember how much I frothed over velvet and Alexander McQueen... well I still love velvet and Alex McQ, but for the past 4 months I've been on a mission to be more... well. Original.

I've made my own formal suit, and bought many other things to go with the whole outfit. Everything cost less than $100! That is honestly the best I've done in a while. The most expensive thing would be my ZARA bow tie, but that's about it.

Which leads me into this post. I've been hunting for accessories that complement my suit and everything seems to be either out of stock or just hate me and won't colour co-ordinate with what everything else would seem to be. I've saved everything into a giant cart on ASOS and if all goes to plan I will be purchasing these next month.... if they don't decide to disappear into the depths of all hell.

I have been literally frothing just a tiny amount over the beauty of silver-wear. I'll probably look like a manic queen of the animals with the amount of jungle jewellery on my fingers on the day.

Currently stuck in a rut with which pieces of jewellery to buy and not buy. Just to give you all a general idea without giving away too much, my suit is a darker navy blue, my shirt is also dark and my bow-tie is the same colour as my suit.

Seriously, everything on ASOS is what I picture Angels to wear in heaven. It's all so divine.

Sorry my presence is like a bi-polar teddy bear, but the toll of exams is really catching up on me. The past couple weeks have been just been immense dosages of stress and me tentatively slaving over notepad and pen writing essays about the concept of "The Journey" after Monday I don't think I ever want to hear those two words ever again in conjunction with a question that insinuates an essay... I'm such an angst-y axelottle.

Penny Round Sunglasses: ASOS

Apart from that I ordered my first ASOS package independently (glasses shown above) with my own moneyz on my own account so that is a true achievement. StyleTempest is running well, albeit slow, still well. Be sure to visit here and buy something if you like it. I'm also working on a photoshoot post that showcases clothing by StyleTempest as well as trying to ship off merch to fashion bloggers to showcase.

Also most posts from now on will mainly feature style. I've changed the ratio of my posts now to 80% Fashion/Style Blogging and 10% personal and 10% food. I hope this change is for the best.

A lot of exciting, revolutionary ideas for eugeneandyen this last part of 2011, and I hope 2012 prospers. (and the world doesn't end because if it did that would suck)

Thai Banana Leaf

I tell a lie. STARTING NEXT POST will be an outfit post extravaganza. Though I did successfully order my first INDEPENDENT ASOS package... with MY OWN money and Paypal... from the profits of StyleTempest. It's a feeling of satisfaction. Sweet satisfaction. It's getting warmer here in Australia too! So I'm buying a lot of... eye protection. *so exciting*

As for now though I'm going to do something I haven't done in a little while! A restaurant review. how glorious.

So today I'm going to be reviewing the Thai Banana Leaf Restaurant in Bowral. I haven't been here in ages, since the last owner was here when it was still named Ouddy Thai but I'm glad to be back.

Complimentary Prawn Chips

The internal decor was actually quite nice. it was spacious, quiet, amazing lighting and all around great ambience. Everything was elegantly set out and we had an amazing time just admiring the decorations.

Pork Pad-See-Ew

This came out first and at first my initial expression was "Oh, it's just stir fried ho-fan noodles with bits of veges and meat. Disappointing. LITTLE DID I KNOW that once you put it in your mouth the pork had a taste of its own, the noodles were flavoursome and the veges provided much needed texture to the meal. Really really nice.

Crying Tiger (Beef)

HOLY MUMMA. You have obviously not lived until you try crying tiger, my tastebuds died with joy when I tried it. Every time I went to thai I would always be reluctant to try it because I always thought "If it makes a tiger cry, it'll make me cry!" But Sophie made me step out of my boundaries and... I am never looking back.

That can only mean one thing. THE GLORIOUS TULIP TIME CELEBRATIONS! This years tulips are a myriad of colours and there is absolutely no problem in getting amazing photos. Make a 2 hour trip up to Bowral, enjoy the view, the country air.

Crystalline Memories

So it's close to a month since I last blogged. So much has actually happened. Some of my favourite people in the whole world have graduated, I've shed a few tears and you may have noticed some exciting things happen. The next post will be an outfit post and the post after that will be too, and same goes for the post after that. I plan 3-4 consecutive outfits. So many functions coming about. I'm like a bird migrating to the other hemisphere.

The weather is meant to be warming for the spring, but for some reason the weather's boyfriend broke up their relationship and as a result it has been raining heavily and I haven't been able to go outside the past week without having to place on twenty seven layers of clothing and combat boots and yell "FOR NARNIA" to stay slightly warm and sane.

That a side, here are a small selection of my favourite pictures from the last three weeks. I'm such a terrible blogger and my follower's list does mirror that. HOWEVER. I did reach 60 followers. Love you all dearly.

Before Spring

So it's the last day of the Winter season and as always, I'm ridiculously saddened to part with my chunky warm knits, boots and all around lack of hayfever. Spring season is always the worst for me. With the weather always tossing between warm and luke warm to random splurges of winter chills that make me feel like I've been disapparated with Dumbledore to Antarctica.

Never the less, being the horrible bloody blogger I am, I haven't had sufficient time to post up an "outfit post" which led me to being a sloth in placing up blog posts. Here are some "outfit shots" that were raw shot with an 18-55mm lens that decided to shit itself whenever I set it to manual focus - and as a result the graininess of the pictures.

Hello! Just a quick post about what I've been doing. StyleTempest is coming along rather well. And the time is ticking closer and closer to the revealing of the secret code. ;) All details coming soon. So for the second time in my life I decided to attend my school's annual country fair. It's usually a GIANT event, but this year it was a minuscule event that really didn't live up to expectations. Nevertheless, met some amazing people, re-met amazing people, and had a terrific time running around telling people to view the art exhibition that I had a part in.

Big big big thankyou to THE SYDNEY ROCKSTARS dance crew for showing up in particular and their really approachable manner. Come back soon!

Hello Gremlins. For all those who haven't been deprived of the hottest gossip, StyleTempest is opening in about a month! I've been busy stocking items, buying mailing boxes, shooting and washing stock and a whole load of other tedious tasks in preparation for the opening.

BUT. After not even one weeks decent rest, a whole heap of assessments and assignments have flooded in. Science, PDHPE, English you name it I have it! So, as a result, StyleTempest is promoting SECRET ENTRY/COUPON PROMOTION

River Deep, Mountain High

Salutations, young padawans. I'm so sorry for these weird, unforeseen abscences. Being a good blogger is a full time occupation! There's simply not enough hours in a week to fit in blogging amongst the many other things I must do including horcrux hunting, fighting the evil Lord Voldemort and duelling Bellatrix Lestrange.

Kidding. But still, very sorry about these blanks in my blogging. I'm like an unforeseen headache that blacks you out... just if I was a headache I'd probably kill most of you with incessant lying about commitment and bitching.

SO! That brings me to this next point. You may have noticed the giant black circle that says "STYLE TEMPEST" Yes. That is correct, I am attempting to open my own vintage store. It's a plan that I've been devising for the past... three months? I've got deals with two wholesalers, alongside my own handpicked vintage from thrift stores a like.

I hope the idea is successful, and I'm planning launch on ETSY amongst the Spring season in Australia. This is just a little catch up post. I will blog properly on the next post - I make an unbreakable vow upon it.

It all ends

Judging from the title, I'm guessing you can all envision me being one of the many millions across the world who are indefinitely saddened by the ending of Harry Potter. Though disappointed they didn't include some crucial detail in the film, it was STILL amazingly climatic and they managed to hit home hard with the passing of some of the films most loved characters. Pretty sure my life has a giant hole in it right now, something I'd like to call "Post Harry Potter Depression." Surely, I hope I get out of it soon, because Hogwarts will walk with me every step of my life. Okay I'm going to stop now before I realise it's actually all gone and I'm not just lying and making things more dramatic like I usually do; and burst into a blubbering mess.

So yesterday I went to city and IMAX to yum cha, shop and watch harry potter with the amazing Lily. Did quite a few amazing things.

Yaki-Niku

So a couple weeks back, both my family and another went out to "Sakae" at Eastwood. Never being to anything that resembled Japanese style "Teppanyaki" before, I was so over the top about it. Turns out, Yaki Niku was a mix between Japanese Teppanyaki and Korean style barbeque. Still amazing. Sakae owners were a friendly help, the food consisted of a myriad of options ranging from Japanese cuisine to Korean, and the whole place was packed!

We got there at around 5:30, and by 6:00 half the restaurant had already been occupied! You definately have to get a reservation for bookings of large numbers. They wheel you out though straight after you've had your dessert or you've finished your mains so that gave it the thumbs down, but never the less everything there was absolutely fantastic.

Soy Marinated Tofu
I actually didn't mind this one. Never had cold tofu, but it actually tested really nice. Don't know, maybe it was the soy, that brought out more flavour, but definately one to try.

Beef Tataki
Not the greatest that I've had, but the beef was fresh, tender and easy to chew.

Takoyaki

Deep Fried Vegetarian Pancake, and Agedashi Tofu Bowl
Never actually tried this pancake! It was really nice. It had a sweet dipping sauce which tasting mind blowing.

Agedashi Tofu
The Agedashi Tofu was amazing. Battered lightly, the tofu was lovely and silky and wasn't very overly gluttony. It was light and the agedashi sauce complimented it nicely.

Deluxe Sushi Ship
AMAZING. FRESH. It was really really really fresh. Everything tasted like it was caught and shipped that day. Every single piece wasn't chewy and didn't smell like it was overnight fish. Kudos to Sakae for being so fresh even if they're so far away from the Fish Markets.

Then barbeque time! We ordered a small variety of Beef, Chicken and a strip of the back of the cow. (You know what it is) The barbeque itself was amazing fun, and all the meat was marinated to perfection. Tasted great.

1930's Night Out

OH HEY THERE STRANGERS. I've blogged so little in the past months its ridiculous. My absence has been the result of nonstop assessments, Oliver! musical, (which was brilliant) and inheriting the disease of Satan.

Nevertheless I am back, and here is a photo-shoot I did with Madeline again which featured the theme of "1930's night out". What inspired this was basically a cold afternoon in my bedroom watching old TV shows when an the amazing Barbra Streisand strutted fur and a maxi, and I knew from that moment that it was going to be the basis around my new shoot.

Seems like it's been far too long since I've held a camera. Enjoy.

No need to fret, I may have received a new pile of assessments but winter has arrived which gives me new found inspiration to do homework, study and whatnot in lightning quick speed. The Silence of my Absence

HELLOOOOOOOOOOOO WORLD!
Hello all dedicated readers, followers, trolls, creepers and lurkers a-like. I am back! After three weeks of solid hibernation amongst the wild beasts in Africa, I have returned, with better than ever hand me down clothes, thrifted clothes, home-made clothes and photographic equipment alike. I'm just typing up this post now to tell you all that I'm not dead, and was just absolutely flooded with exams (which I think I narrowly passed) and a whole stack of assessments which I should be doing now instead of procrastinating. Also, it was also because my laptop decided to chuck a little hissy-fit and decide not to turn on completely. Need to get that fixed because all my photos are on it.. hm..

In the time being I have:

Don't go breakin' my heart

Hello there little gremlins. For the past couple days I've been living life as a teacher and a librarian, tackling basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division amongst a selection of comprehension skills. Otherwise known as work experience. It's been magnificent living life as a teacher. The amazing authority of telling who to do what, and what not to do. Oh the life.

Today was the book fair and here are just some pictures of me being a check out person... and a variant of pictures of some other children. Right now I'm just going to savour the next 2 days of.. my new found authority and I'll be back with a proper post soon. Enjoy some herpy derpy photos of myself in the meantime.

ZARA and Food

Can I just say, Zara was the biggest disappointment in the history of disappointments.. budget wise. The clothes are all quite nice and I'd actually like to buy one of the jackets where it looks like I'm a bad-ass hunter who skinned an animal alive and strung it around my neck.. but the only barricade standing in my way is a four digit number with a comma after the first digit.

Though one thing does befuddle me was the cardigan that had the price "$19,00" on it. What does that even mean? I was going to buy the cardigan that had that price tag on it but decided they probably meant $1,900. If I was game enough I could've probably gotten the cardigan down to $19.00 due to misprint, but it was ZARA for god sakes. They would have escorted me out with 4 security guards. (Item of clothing in question is the last photo before the food)

Anyway, so school is tonight and I go back to horrible meals, illogical bed times, bad hygiene amongst my peers and incessant screaming throughout the corridors in the most obscene hours in the early morning. The Golden Hour

Hello little gremlins. The holidays are nearly over and another busy term for me is about to start... again. Posting will be maintained though, so don't fret. Anyway, this is my last set of my winter collection. This was shot under the "Golden hour" circumstance. It's the magical hour where all light seems to transform into a golden dragon, which then lays its magical rays of light onto photos to get.. a desired effect.

I quite liked shooting these set of photos. Models these days are just so approachable and fun. Anyway, so Sophie (Model on left above) is wearing brown leather jacket from dotti, a white vintage scarf that she got from her mother and a sailor esque skirt from Cotton On. The main idea for her outfit was just relaxed. The outfit as a whole would just be something she'd wear out on a daily basis. Shoes were just basic boots.

Hello dear readers! This is the 3rd set in my Winter collection. This is probably the funnest outfit we put together to combat the subconscious depression that seems to sink in through the long winter months. We paired together a thrifted sequin jacket that belongs to Lily and a thrifted lace dress that also belongs to Lily to show how so much black can be so amazing. And remember how I said 2 posts ago that I'd show you the suede heels? Well, there's a crummy picture below I dug through to find.. trust me they're so much more beautiful in real life. Pair the whole outfit together with vintage rings from Florence, Italy and you've got an outfit that screams out "SUCK ON THIS".

Anyway, hope you all had a great Good Friday eating only fish, and a Happy Easter on Sunday. A weekend full of being nice, no hate and positive comments. Until then, final winter collection post soon.

(Oh and for the record, the "rainbow flare" in some of the pictures wasn't edited in. They're the real deal! I was so stunned to see it when I was going through the photos. Hooray for refraction? I was never good at science.)

Laid back Blazer

The many joyous things about going hunting for secondhand bargains at opshops include finding the best blazers. And that's exactly what I did for this winter collection. My lovely model Sophie was my model for my "laid back" blazer look. We aimed for an outfit that would blend into the darker colours of winter, yet would get a second look from passerbys who would spot a statement piece. The Red thrifted scarf draws away from the dark colours and sparks up the outfit a little more. The Black fabricated blazer which was thrifted isn't a very broad blazer and doesn't define the body. The body defines it. It's like a water bed for the body - you don't move for it, it moves for you. A basic patterned shirt and tights don't give too much away and keeps the eyes fixed on the scarf, whilst the blazer completes the outfit.

And yet again, I didn't capture the glory of the shoes she was wearing. They were like boots, but they were heels! They were amazing. I shall try digging out a picture soon. Other than that, new post in 2 days.

Seasons are Changing

Hello gremlins. Here is a little thing I've been developing in my mind for the past 2 weeks. The original plan was doing a photo shoot that featured a Winter Lookbook that I styled but I couldn't help myself and just started shooting a complete portrait photoshoot so the Lookbook part of it kinda died.

But that's okay. So as many of you may know, the seasons are changing in Australia to my favourite season. WINTER!!!! And that means the beautiful hand knitted cardigans, sweaters, boots, pants, and all things to keep you snug against the harsh Australian winter. I'll call this series my "Winter Lookbook" series. It will be spread into 3 posts and each will feature a new outfit.

This is my little way of filling in some time before my next post. lol. I've been raving about how much I love cardigans on twitter so heres one that was a hand me down. HOW AMAZING. And my mother knows how to knit so she knitted me a blood red one which is absolutely legendary. I will show you all some day. And she's currently working on a cream one. :D. Having a mother that enjoys knitting is one of the many joys in my life.

Moving on, my holidays are so jammed packed so I'm trying to squeeze in these infrequent posts once in a while to fill in some of the posting gaps. I've got a couple photoshoots coming up which I am willing to share with you all and I will be working on a side project as well which is very exciting. For now, enjoy some of these hipster-esque photos and I'll see you all soon. ( oh, and thank you all so much for following! I'm past the 50 mark now :D )

Banh Xeo

Bonjour Gremlins! Before I start this post, I'd just love to say a big thank you to one of my best friends Lily O'Donnell for buying for my birthday this amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing tea set! I've been basically drinking from it non-stop all day everyday, and that's how I've been getting my water intake so thanks for saving my life.

For now though, here is a long awaited food post! I attempted Ban Xeo, which is a Vietnamese pancake/crepe and is god damn amazing. From my sources (lol wikipedia) "ban xeo" literally means "sizzling cake." Don't take my word on it though. I'm still not sure.

It's getting colder so it's perfect weather for ban xeo. Here's a recipe in the meantime and I hope you all have a lovely start to the holidays. (And if you're American.. I hope you're just plain dandy.)

What you will need for the crepe (Makes about 8 thin crepes):

Packeted ban xeo powder
500g of Tiger prawns
500g of Beef/Pork (I used Beef)
800g of peeled and pre-cooked shrimp
Coconut Cream/Milk
Half a cucumber (optional)
I used 200g of bean sprouts (optional)
Optional amount of Bok Choy.

What you will need for the Nuoc Mam (Dipping Sauce):

20g of crushed peanuts. I used cashew nuts because I prefer the taste
Fish Sauce
One whole fresh chilli
One slice of lemon
Five teaspoons of sugar
Warm water

Method:

Step One:

Before you start anything, chop the cucumber up into thin slices and line around the plate.

Step Two:

Open the ban xeo powder and mix the top satchet of turmeric and powder. Add 3 and a half cups of water and the can of coconut milk. Stir through until there are no lumps and let it sit for 15 minutes.

Step Three:
Whilst waiting 15 minutes for the powder to set, prepare the nuoc mam.
- I cooked for 4 so I poured 50mL of fish sauce into a small bowl.
- Add as much water you like to dilute it. I added about 2 cups.
- Add the sugar
- Add the lemon slice and squeeze thoroughly
- Chop the whole chilli into small pieces and place in.
- Stir well and place in fridge.
- Add the crushed cashews/peanuts on top.

(Also preheat pan at this stage to simmering heat)

Step Four:
After the 15 minutes, scoop on ladle of the mixture onto preheated and oiled pan. Spread the mixture out evenly into a circular shape and cover with a lid for 30 seconds for crisp.

Step Five:
After the 30 seconds, place your filling in. (Note, don't overfill the crepe otherwise it's very hard to fold in half. Also place the fillings all to one side so you can flip the other one to cover it)

Step Six:
Move a spatula around the edges of the crepe to make sure it doesn't stick to the pan. Place a lid on the pan for another 10 seconds for extra crisp. Take ban xeo off heat and fold in half.

Step Seven:
After folding the ban xeo, place onto plate lined with cucumber. Take Nuoc Mam out of fridge and serve in a little bowl.

EATTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!
After abou tfour attempts, The above being the first one, the second one I kinda burnt. The third one didn't fold properly and the fourth was spectacular. It just takes practice. Pictures below.

Eugene and Yen verdict:
YUM. YUM. YUM. WILL MAKE AGAIN. (only because I still have so much powder left) lol.
Just some handy tips.

- If you put coconut milk in it, it will burn easier. Always watch your heat and make sure it's on simmering heat.
- Always remember not to overfill the ban xeo. Over filling will tear the batter and will be annoying to fold over.
- Ban xeo is usually very oily. I used minimal oil and the result was still fantastic. Just your own preference I guess.

Double whammy! Two posts in one day! Hehe, that's what I call compensation. Ahaha, I'm such a suck up. Anyway, today I went to watch Doctor Zhivago the Musical starring the one and only Anthony Warlow!

To say it in one word? Unimaginable. It's so bloody brilliant, we had excellent seats, straight in the middle, and straight in the center. My Gosh, it was three hours of MIND BLOWING singing, acting and performing and it was my first time experiencing a musical/opera. So amazing.

SO THE SUMMARY OF THE WHOLE DAY:

Went to eat lunch, saw a sparrow about to eat at my left overs.
Jump around darling harbour and try to attract unnecessary attention.
Found an amazing T-Shirt Store.
Eat Reese's and Hersheys.
Watch an amazing production of Dr Zhivago.
Have coffee with Anthony Warlow at a cute cafe called "Bartino".
Stomp around Star City in boots.
Come home.

LOL YES. THAT IS ANTHONY WARLOW'S HEAD. AHAHA.

HAPPY 800TH POST READERS! Yay! And it's also passed 2 years since the start of my original blog Pokemon Pushover. A lot seems to ensue in two years and I guess the product of it is a long lasting fun experience. I'd never actually picture myself blogging in the past, and now that I've gotten so far I guess it's a worth while experience!

Sorry I've left you all hanging and waiting in the dark, whilst my traffic was slowly getting dragged down by the beast known as laziness, but these past two weeks have been so exciting that I've basically had no time in my little life to blog anymore.

HERE I AM COMPENSATING. I'm going to see Dr Zhivago tomorrow in the city! I'm bringing my camera for some extraordinary snap shots tomorrow of the Sydney afternoon and also possibly a photo with Anthony Warlow himself. (FINGERS CROSSED) But certainly a myriad of possibilities shall arise soon enough.

Here is a Photoshoot I did with the lovely Drina and her friend Bonita, as a celebration for the two years of my blog. The "theme" was "Happiness", and I guess all these pictures symbolise that. I honestly can't look at any of the photos without having a giant grin slowly emerge from my mouth. I hope you all enjoy! And Happy 2nd Birthday Eugene and Yen! :-D

Pizzas in the Mist

So around a week ago, it was Harrison's birthday so we went out to Pizzas in the Mist out at Robertson. For all you readers who don't know where Robertson is, colloquially known as Robbo, it's a small town out in the Southern Highlands about 40 minutes from Mittagong, a good 2 hours from Sydney CBD. If any of you are ever out here, I highly suggest you go to Pizzas in the Mist, they are god damn amazing.

To start off with we had just basic White bread dipped in Vinegar and Olive oil. Being Asian I had never ever tried this in my life, and Lily my Italian friend said the upside of being a "wog" is always having it. It was quite nice, the bread was home made and soft and the vinegar wasn't too overpowering with the olive oil.

Then our luscious mains:

We had 8 people and three pizzas and Ribs filled us all up. Serving sizes are huge, portions are generous and all around tasty.

Amazing. Ingredients where fresh, and most where sourced locally when we asked the chef when he came out. Another benefit of living in the highlands is everything culinary wise is just so finger licking good! A lot of meat, and veges and a smack of flavour with every bite. Highly recommended.

Ribs (Shown Above)

These where god damn tasty! Too bad we only ordered one rack. The sauce was to die for. Usually the ribs we get from the local pizza place are all burnt and disgusting but these where amazing. The potato was melting in your mouth with the sour cream, and the ribs where just fall off the bone. These where amazing as well.

Robertson Supreme (Shown Above)

I didn't have a photo of this because everybody went for it. It was just like the supreme, filled with ingredients on top and with lots of potato! (spud pizza). I was a little bit hesistant when I saw peas on the top but after taking a bite, the flavours worked really well. It's a little on the filling side though, so I suggest you eat other things before overindulging on this one :-3

Barbeque Chicken (Shown Above)

This was my favorite. Their home made Barbeque Sauce just destroys Dominoes and other chain pizzas. This was amazing. It was just Chicken pieces after chicken, just all chicken and barbeque sauce. Amazing as hell, and all around the tastiest barbeque chicken pizza I have EVER tasted.

Overall, Pizzas in the Mist is a well worth it eat and is amazing in all aspects. The decor is simple yet elegant and the food is just amazing. If you're ever in Robertson make sure to duck in.

Thank you all my followers, old and new! I'm actually steadily gaining new followers all the time and you're the ones I actually blog for, you guys seriously are the best. Every time I see that I have a new follower I just light up and show everybody because I'm just that proud of you all. You're all like the forever non existent child that I will have that will excel in Maths, Science, English and all humanities subjects which I will flaunt all over to my Asian friends and family and tell them what a success my progeny are.

Anyway, this is the photoshoot that I did with Lamiya on Monday this week. Happy late Valentines Day little Gremlins! I hope you all had a great day eating chocolate and kissing loved ones whilst I was being forever alone and watching sad movies in my room whilst drinking 10,000 litres of hot chocolate whilst over indulging in comfort foods such as nachos and marshmallows.

This week has been rather fun. I had my operation! Yay! How exciting, don't wanna go into depth on my blog but I'm fine, thats the bottom line so hooray for me. Anyway, as you all know I am an enthusiast for natural light photography as well as light manipulation. I've successfully learnt how to use light settings on my camera! yay! #achievement! YAY! you should all be happy now that my posts will have correct lighting in the correct situations. lol. I know, I'm so hyped over nothing.

Also, As the wind blows I am also rather sad to learn that I'm missing so many days off work to go to parties, and now medical reasons which means that I'm earning less to pay off my phone, gather enough spending money for America and purchase of my 17-40mm lens at the end of the year.

If anybody has any sparks of great, exciting revelations on how to save money, please enlighten me! Currently I am living off the money off the Red Pockets from Chinese New Year which is running desperately low.

I NEED INCOME.

Anyway dearies I guess enjoy these photos and I'll be resting up at home from surgery. So enjoy! And btw. Those groups on facebook with the "You're not a photographer, you're just a teenager that owns a Canon" or etc whatever, I've had a tonne of people ask why I liked it because I'm a teenager with a Canon, but the truth is, I have a strong belief that if you buy a DSLR and you don't learn how to properly, those are the people those Facebook groups are talking about.

If it's people like http://r05a.blogspot.com who is like me also who actually wants to use a DSLR to it's full potential, these groups are unrelated to us and if you still think that they are, come at me bro. lol. Oh I'm hilarious.

Anyway, that was just to clear the air. All you disgusting people in the world who bought a DSLR for display.. go to hell.

Armoured Crucifixion

Scared shitless about my excisional biopsy on Thursday the 17th. Im so scared about the pain, the scarring (most importantly the scarring) and I'm just plain scared. :(

Anyway, my packages came this week! My Ritano Wingtip Boots are now in my possession, its just they're so biiiiiiig I think they're a US 13, I fit, but it's so big Oh my god. Anyway, my Topman Crucifix ring came and it was broken GRR. Crappers didn't bubble wrap it or anything. Nothing a little superglue can't fix though, it's a little wobbly but it serves it purpose nevertheless. Just a littled peed off that I paid $25 for a broken ring. GRR. OH. And my armour ring is bloody amazing, just gotta say. lol. Anyway, enough with words here are some pictures.

I miss out on Multicultural Day, Finals Night and a Mufti day at school to get my neck cut open, I haven't done any tutoring homework, I have tutoring in less than 11 hours, and my internet tethering is frocking bullhorns because it's messed up.

LOL. This sounds really petty when there are kids starving to death and living in really poor conditions. I should really appreciate what I have. :-)

Asymmetrical Cheese Twists

School is so soon it makes me want to vomit. I may schedule a post for Monday before I go back to school. Its okay! I won't be completely dead like last year, I will now be tweeting everyday lol. It's much more conventional to tweet instead of Facebook, but I will be on both. So remember to go on my twitter if you wish to keep updated on my eventful, yet predictable life. And sorry the majority of my posts recently all incorporate food. IM SORRY. This blog is part food blog! So yeah. DONT WORRY. Next post will be different.. I promise! hehe.

So a couple days ago we made Cheese Twists with a recipe pretty old from a magazine called "The Big Book of Beautiful Biscuits" or something along the same lines. I think Women's Weekly had something to do with it. Anyway, here is the recipe and how they went:

Ingredients:

750 grams of pre-rolled puff pastry
1 egg white
185 grams of Cheddar Cheese
90 grams of Parmesan Cheese
2 tablespoons of paprika (optional) We didn't include it in our recipe though.

Step One:

Preheat oven to 220 degrees. Cut each sheet of pastry into 2cm. Brush with Beaten Egg White.

Step Two:

Fold two strips of pastry alternately forming a 'twist pattern'. Take care to make them as flat as possible.

Step Three:

Mix Both Cheeses in a large bowl and sprinkle onto pastry evenly. Press down onto pastry firmly for secure melting.

Tip:

Now we had extra cheese and pastry so we decided to be inventive and make cheese balls. You can make these into any shape or form, you just have to watch how they cook in the oven. I recommend you cook them until a golden brown, crunchy colour, but depends on what type of texture you prefer.

Step Four:

Place Cheese Twists onto a baking tray lined with baking paper and place in oven for recommended 7 minutes. It depends on how strong your oven is. We had to keep checking because the oven we were using was old and the heating element was a little screwed up. We ended up having to cook them for 10 minutes. Start at 7 minutes and keep checking if theyre the golden brown colour you're looking for.

Step Five:

After cooking transfer twists to a cooling rack. and cool before eating. The crunchy texture appears about 3 minutes after cooling. If you want more crunchiness wait a little longer before you have them.

Step Six:

EAT! :9 hehe :3

Handy Dandy Tips:

The Cheese will melt rather quickly and so you have to watch them constantly to avoid burning and that disgusting burnt flavour.
The measurements in the book say it makes about 37 sticks. But our pastry was a little bigger so we made 21 sticks and 8 cheese balls. 1 cheese ball was equal to 2 sticks of pastry. So if we didn't make the cheese balls the grand total would be 29 sticks.
The Cheese will stick to each other. Don't make a hassle or anything about it, you're better off just seperating them with a knife or any implement that can separate solidified cheese.

The Cheese balls we were unsure how they would cook. But the cheese inside them melted rather well, so the Eugene and Yen recommended time for the cheese balls is around 12 minutes! (on average. any explosions or harm done to person attempting recipe will not be taken responsibility by Eugene and Yen) lol.

Side note from original author:

"These are easy-to-make biscuits, from packaged puff pastry, are great nibbles for a barbeque. We've made them in a big size. If you want them smaller (perhaps to serve with soup), just cut them in half after baking."

Oh, and I think I found 'my colour' its a nice baby kind of blue. I bought a $5 shirt from Cotton On the other day and this colour I really like the look of on me. Not to sound vain or conceited or anything, but this colour seems pretty ruthless in terms of matching up with other colours. It maybe 'baby blue', but its pretty bad-ass. ooooh. And for those wonderrrrin', I got a haircut. Yes and out of great hipster impulse (lol, first $5 v-neck shirts, and now this haircut) I got a "semi- asymmetrical haircut" lol. how exciting. Its very asymmetrical when I brush it to one side. LOL. SO I LEAVE YOU WITH THIS PICTURE.

School for me starts Sunday night after 9:00pm (because that's the only non-insane hour of the day my parents decided would be suitable to take me back into hell for another 11 months). I arrive at school, I make my bed, change and I sleep. School starts the next day and it's hello new timetable, and other miraculous joys that accompany school. Enough of this depressing talk about being away from home, here's what I've been doing / spending my time doing these last few days of omnipotent freedom.

Played with natural lighting instead of making synthetic light with photoshop
Sparred with a unicorn
Went shopping for the first time in a proper store. (not a thrift store)
Went out to friends houses for computer mystery games and listing items on eBay
Wrote in my 2011 goals, movie lists, websites, travel plans, and aspirations
Eating Fried Rice

Geez, I have an exciting life. LOL. Also, these holidays I've gotten hooked to the dumbest social networking network available. Twitter. Oh dear mother of sweet pineapples it makes me ashamed to say it, but I am, a massive, raging, tweetwhore. I refresh the page far too much and my social life is being slapped in the face by it as a result.

On a more.. normal note. I've been staying at home watching Chuck. I finished Season 3 in less than a week and it's so god damn emotional. why? WHY. WHY. WHY DO ALL YOU SHOWS CONVEY EMOTION IN SUCH A STRONG WAY. It makes me whimper like a little girl. lol. Okay. Sorry this post is so long and boring, but it's just a house/blog-keeping post for all my long-time-readers just to keep them updated on what's happening in that little noggen of mine.

Sigh. One day I'll blog with a reason. Right now, it's just either Food, Photog, or Style. Why do I even bother having other labels. HAVE FUN. SPAM.

Post Script:: I will try to squeeeeeeze in another post in before school starts. When school does start though all my post photos will mainly be shot with my 50mm f/1.8 opposed to my 35mm which has taken over my 50mm as my 'prime' prime lens. All photos in this post were taken with the 35mm. (Main reason because my 50mm is light and because I'm weak and have no guns carrying the lightest lens I have is the smartest option.. ever)

Nocturnal Sun

Hello amazing readers, (and the lurking trolls) I have returned for another post. I nearly forgot to mention completely I went kinda back to school hopping and returned with a school diary, an amazing pen that makes me look incredibly sophisticated, a bottle of small pens and a small jar which I got for $2 from a little market inside Market City in Haymarket Chinatown.

Words can not describe how much I lust for every single piece of stationery inside Kikki-K. Not only is everything so amazing and well thought out, it's also Swedish! Which makes all the stationery have the unnatural ability to speak a second language whilst in my grasp. It's like the adult version of Smiggle (which I'm not really fond of) and makes me actually LIKE stationery.

The diary makes me motivated for 2011. I really hope this year is going to be brilliant, because I've invested in brilliant things (stationery so far) for it to be brilliant. Sorry the pictures are so dark, having a camera on Manual mode in one hand and holding the subject in the other equals pictures look like they were the offspring of night-time and shadow women.

They look much better in real life, much more exciting.. white.. and vibrant! :D

I also wish for Topman rings to be not as ridiculously amazing. That way I would stop wanting them.. I can't anyway; that would molest my wallet a great deal.. There are so many more that I wish to possess or have in my little stone box on my shelf that keeps all my rings. But, sadly I do not currently possess enough spirit power (moolah) to buy any of these luxuries. Ahh, theres a wire look ring which I may get someone to buy, that is truly amazing. Just haven't included it here otherwise I would like to completely kill myself for not possessing it.

I should stop lusing for things that make me depresso.. because I know I'll never ever have it. Life sucks, I know. Blah blah blah get over it you'll get money in the future. THE FUTURE IS NOT CLOSE ENOUGH. ANYBODY WITH A METAL ON FINGER LUST KNOWS THAT WHEN THEY SEE SOMETHING THEY WANT ON THEIR FINGERS, THEY NEED IT IMMEDIATELY. Sigh. Grandmother

My grandmother came up from Sydney today so we could do a cooking thing. She made this chinese red bean dessert, which translates back to Red Bean Sand, and it's amazing. LOL. It's the proper way :-) I made a cheese, marinated chicken, pasta (fettucinne) improvised from the recipe I got from the Cookability cooking course. Anyway, here are some pictures of the sushi I made this afternoon for lunch for my grandma, my parents and myself. I made 2 perfect rolls and 8 crappy ones. LOL. It tasted great though. Had to improvise because there was no Japanese mayo.. so I had to marinate the chicken in different japanese kind of sauces. haha. So all it was today was tuna and avocado, was amazing :-)

Oh, and here are some pictures from the first few times I went over to a friends house which I got off him the other day. LOL. We love taking stupid pictures of each other.

Tips for making sushi rice:

Use a fan to actually fan the rice, for some reason the rice is softer and easier to eat.
Always wet you hands before putting on the rice, after putting on the rice, and after rolling. otherwise your hands are all gross and the seaweed goes soggy easier.
Don't over fill the roll, otherwise it won't cut properly
When cutting, actually cut, DON'T APPLY PRESSURE! Other wise the filling will splatter form the sides and it'll be disguisting.

Horror

So on Friday the 14th of January, I went to my second cooking class which was amazing. The not so amazing part was having a horror movie marathon and getting scared shitless that a crazy axe murderer is coming to murder my whole family in the middle of the night whilst I witness it and he lets me live. Now, everytime theres a thud from a possum on the window, or a small creak of the floorboards, I now arm myself with a stick and call out spells from Harry Potter to wish that a small miracle would happen; that I would be able to cast magical spells to stun, disarm or kill said axe murderers. I'm just going to post pictures of what we cooked, theres not much point in saying what we did considering all the pictures I took. By the way guys, I got a tonne of views on my last post but only 1 actual comment, come on guise PLEASE COMMENT. COMMENTS ARE MIRACULOUS. I LOVE COMMENTS. COMMENT COMMENT COMMENT. What's on the menu:

Fettucinne Carbonara (tradional way)
Roast Pumpkin, Fetta and Pine Nut Ravioli in different shapes
Cookability's Gooey Chocolate Souflee/Fondant

The fun times eating Ravioli and Carbonara.. and the amazing time documenting the classy way we do so. lol.

This was mashed in a food processor to make the filling for the ravioli.. it was then combined with Fetta Cheese and Pine nuts.

The Chocolate was so rich and amazing.. it was like straight chocolate! We had to melt the chocolate over hot water, but it's real easy to over cook the chocolate and make it grainy and disguisting, so I had to watch it as it melted, took a while, but the longer the chocolate is, the better! :-)

And I think I will leave this post with a sleeping/sun baking blue tongue lizard.. there were two, but the second one was in the grass and I could'nt get a clear shot of it. Also, it was sliding back into it's hole, but it slid, and hit its head.. how exciting.

What's Shine?

Before I start I hope you enjoy or at least find this layout pleasant. It took me while to organise all the pictures and what not and finalise a "simple" design. Thankyou and credits to Rosa who painted the header, about me picture and the sidebar images.

12th of January - 13th January, two of the best, most fun days of my life! 14th I hope is also going to be god damn amazing! The 12th was a fun day. Trekked to the city and annoyed the baloops out of SHINee fans. "What's Shine?" and a very quick, microsecond Korean fangirl hearing girl gave me the most lovely dirty look and said "It's Shine-e". Followed by that I death stared her and called her a bitch, made fun of her disguisting DIY shorts and walked off to sushi train. LOL.

13th January: Cookability Cooking Course (Home made white bread, Pizza & Scrolls)

Oh my dear cheesus, this cooking course is amazing. Immediately fell in love as we started cooking. Cookability Cooking Course is probably the best thing that's happened to me in the past 2 weeks. I loved it so much I'm willing to fork out another $60 to do another course (this time 4 hours opposed to the 3 this time) tomorrow! The 14th! Tomorrow it's Ravioli, Fettucini Carbonara and Chocolate Fondant.. all from scratch! :-)!

The finished loaf/loaves! :-) They are amazing. I have always wanted to learn how to bake/make my own bread and oh my dear sweet Jesus I have now learnt! :-) Tomorrow's morning one is going to be great. I was hoping to make the night-time class as well which was gonna teach you BBQ stuff like marinades and about meats, but sadly, that clashes with a lot of my plans :-( Annual Horror Movie Marathon at Harrison's tomorrow! Haven't had one since Term 2 holidays because of Lily and I's absence of the country in September/October. Expect a post soon!

Anxiety

So recently I've been a very angry no fun pooper-roo. Sometimes I think I deserve to explode with anger at rage, because well, I'm full of anger and rage. But never mind that, it's all out of my system. Remember kids, being angry sucks balls because you look like a little bitch and even though you may think that being angry at everybody is the right way to go about it, IT ISN'T. Being angry sucks. Don't do it. Take your anger out on something more productive, like sports, or blogging or furiously watching Jersey Shore and yelling everytime Snooki appears on the screen.. hehe. Moving on, next Tuesday ie: 3 days away from now, I have a biopsy. Hence the title of this post being "Anxiety". Looking up how the process goes on google isn't a smart idea, because I keep thinking the pain is going to be as painful as the cruciatus curse - if not even more painful.. which in reality it probably is probably just a little more painful than a blood test (I hope) God dammit, I hate needles.

Anyway, to keep off all negative emotion and anxiety, my new 35mm f/2 has arrived! Yes, it is the epitome of the rest of my savings blown, but I love it nevertheless. So here are some pictures of the 35mm f/2 (taken by the 50mm f/1.8) and some pictures taken by the 35. Oh, also the 35 is much sharper than the 50 even at f/2 in comparision to the maximum 1.8 aperture by the 50mm. Lol, half of you will probably have no idea what I'm saying, but that's all cool. /camera talk. Also, I've studded the handle of my camera bag. And I'm customising my new blog template ! Hooray. It's going to be based off Gary Pepper Vintage's layout (colours). 2010 was a year about change, and my blog symbolised that, and this year is about being simple, and not being over the top about everything, which is a good goal to aim for after my bitch fit via Facebook. So my recent batch of Urban Outfitters came a couple days ago. I'm still missing my black vans that are on backorder and my Ritano Wingtip Boots from the order before. They should be in my grasp by the end of this month.. ahh. Waiting for clothes makes me so angry, there is nothing to do to burn time! I'm really over black and white photos. The second photo in my previous post is possibly my favourite. It can be interpreted as either a vein, a tree branch or some kind of black and white canal that's running through the amazing. Oh yes, the imagination can take you places.

So whilst I'm at home, half freezing my ass into a popsicle (BECAUSE IT'S SUMMER?) I've been wearing the cardigan I bought from Urban Outfitters $30 less than the original price because it's extra comfortable and snuggy. hehe. I should've gotten a size bigger because I would have extra material, and I would also be able to wear it as oversize.. which would be FREAKING AMAZING. But it's all good. My mum being the awesome woman she is is knitting several giant cardigans for me.. she's currently working on a red one. Tis awesome. Parents are a mixed blessing.

The most awesome socks in the world! I love Christmas.. it's the time of the year where I get a massive haul in clothes.. ahh! I'll be wearing the cardigan, the union jack socks and some UO brogues next Wednesday when I go to the city (no not for the free korean SHINee concert) to take pictures with Rosa! I cant be bothered labelling what I'm wearing in these pictures currently.. I'll do it the post I blog about going out. :-)

I've stumbled across this before, but I've actually decided to take pictures of it now! Coving the flash when taking a photo makes it look as though you're in a dark room, or you're being overexposed by an external flash. It also makes my fingers look extremely awesome, like a rainbow warrior shot his load inside my finger.. yeah.. attractive.

Sorry about the bombarding in posts.. I haven't posted this regularly since my sissy posting days (which may I remind you is all rubbish and shouldn't be taken seriously.. chortle) I hope to blog maybe in a couple days time.. keep these comments rolling in!

Soft China

What a great way to start off 2011. Rain and a tonne of thunder that scares the hell out of the neighbour's cat who always hides on our porch. Which is a great excuse for me to grab my camera, run outside and take pictures of many inanimate objects. Later on the evening I grabbed my fairy lights and started to much around and do my first ever light show with my camera.. ooooooh baby baby. I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them. I'm particularly proud of the lighting in the fairy light photos considering I only use one main source of light and the pictures turned out well. LOVE IT.

Where I stand, Where I stood

Citrus tarts, lights and other lovely bits and bobs are making up my summer so far. Was going to the beach today in my DIY everything, but then work stood in the way. My life right now is consumed by work work and more work. New Years Eve! My last post for this year. This year.. I'm thankful for everything. new friends, new schemes, new everything! It's been good. I've learnt not to settle for things I know are wrong, and standing up for everything I believe in. This year was really a turning point for me in life, and I think I have all my lovely friends to thank for that.

Gloria Jeans Citrus tarts are the best things ever to enter my digestive system since nutella and lamingtons.. or nutella lamingtons. :-)

My secondary family this year has given me so much this year for Christmas.. it's amazing! They're given me two sets of fairy lights now! One of those shake lava lamp things, and a Canon Printer! They are honestly the best set of people I know. Fairy lights are the last photo. They're flat silicon cubes and are a really nice orange tint colour.

What I was in this morning when I was going to Bondi, and then I got called into work. My life really does consist of many failed operations and what not. I hate my uneven tan on my arms.. my elbows are so dark and otherwise my skin is a different shade of.. light? q_q

Hooray for my dumb sister who stuck pads all over my table.. and super glued the ones I can't take off. She's the epitome of evil.

Anyway, this year has been freaking amazing thanks to everybody who's been apart of my life. Anywho, what I want you all to take into the new year is anything is for you to know where you stand in life and where you want to stand. If you work out where you want to be, and pursue it, and become the citizen of society you want to be, there is no way in the world you can't, or won't be able to. We all have the capacity to do great things. I hope 2011 will be the beginning of those great things for the greater of you.

So that's it. 2010 is over. It's time for us to leave all the shit that's been clinging on us like herpes and "ride a unicorn into 2011" - fartissica I hope you all enjoy the fun and displays of money exploding in the sky tonight or whenever you may experience such joys. Happy Asian Boxing Day

I hope all my wonderful readers had an awesome Christmas. Christmas is probably one of the best times of the year. Friends and family gather, and you have an amazing time. Boxing day was awesome this year. Every single year since I was a little fetus, the Asians in my area gather for a giant belated Christmas party that is amazing, fun and automatically becomes apart of our lives - even if it is your first time ever there.

Whether it be playing with dogs, playing Pictionary, drawing Pads on pictionary (lol) or just eating homemade Christmas cookies and just talking, I love spending time with friends and family on these occasions. :-)

I've been really tired these past couple days. Christmas Day > Boxing Day > Friends House and was meant to go out today as well, but decided against it. Slept in until 12 today! Hooray! I worked last night as well, (Hell yes double pay for public holiday) and I'm working New Years Eve as well. 2010 as a whole has been lovely to me, in comparison to other people, and I don't think I'm in any position to argue or purport how shit my life is, because it isn't. I have a wonderful, fucking amazing friend support network and a awesome life right now.

Thank you to all the friends I've made this year, and all the little bitches you've all had to endure from my mouth. I love you all. And I also love my purchases this year.. but my wardrobe thinks otherwise. It keeps vomiting up random bits of clothing that I didn't even know I existed. Otherwise, thanks 2010.. You've been extraordinary.

As semi- promised here is a dodgy looking outfit post, just before Christmas! 2 hours and 53 before Christmas, here I am, after getting an early mark from work, sitting here in my room, look at a screen blogging. Life doesn't get more alone than this sometimes. Anyway. Wearing this is 25 degree heat in semi-country Australia is another way of overheating and dying. Even though the material in what I'm wearing is really thin and comfortable, Australian heat really takes a toll on the average dark lord.

Oh, the lights above, are the fairy lights. I just liked how they looked like the Southern Cross so I put it on. lol.

Speaking of the Southern Cross, there was an Eclipse a couple nights back. I had a tonne of photos, but I really can not be bothered to upload them all seeing as though I'm capped, and the day I'm uncapped is NEXT MONTH. My life really sucks elven tears.

I love how half my self timer photos aren't in focus. I have to manually focus, use live view, do the perfect focus in the little white square thing that defines the focus and then bolt 1000000 meters away from my camera because it doesn't twist and change focal length. I also love how these shorts look like my fly is constantly undone because the zip is stuck together like a motherfairy and the cover bit is a little crapped up.But besides me being horribly unfocused, YAY.

So this is meant to be my Festive/Christmas outfit, but I really don't own much Red or Green or anything that resembles those colours. I really need to buy things that resembles more festive colours other than my own palette. Anyway, hope you all have an AMAZING Christmas tomorrow. Enjoy it with your family and friends and don't hate on each other too much. Above purchases available from Alexander McQueen , which may I add is extremely amazing when it comes to formal wear.. just a little (maybe verging on A LOT) too expensive for me. Alexander McQueen merchandise is just too amazing to pass up, but I'll need to see which fits into my budget, I really don't want to spend over $300, $200 if I can on formal. Considering I doubt my parents would pay for my formal gear. Eh.

Hidden Truth

After the recent collapse, fall and destruction of my wardrobe which took 3 hours to put back in place, my room is completely renovated. New Lights, new book shelf, and new wardrobe layout. It's closing into Christmas and everything is kinda rushed right now; helping friends do things for Christmas yadiyadayada. Here's just a photo spam of what I could conjour up in between the havoc and chaos of the holiday season, I'm terribly sorry half of them aren't in focus.. I promise you better photography next post. Btws: The Terracotta soldier exhibit in Sydney is amazing!

How extraordinary are these boots. I really want a pair of desert boots. I found a pair at Myer I could buy with my Christmas gift card.. (from 2009!) but they didn't have my god.damn.size. Story of my life.

The Highlands

Yay! So living where I live, there isn't much to do except go out for a movie, lunch and then go thrifting! Which keeps me busy for the summer holidays.. which is a good thing. Hehe.

I really like the picture above that Lily took. Except I'm doing the whole mosaic-out-the-face again because foul cannot even explain how I looked in that picture. But for the sake of a beautiful picture, I must do it! :-)

So we went to see Harry Potter.. again.. for the third time! it's the last week showing, so you should all go see it if you havn't.. it is really worth it. Last showing is Christmas Eve. :-) After that we ventured off into the midst of town where we sat down and ate Pizza and drank lemon drinks, chai lattes and ate a $3 macaron.. which was totally worth it..

Lily has the most amazing rings.. she got them all in Florence.. and for all you little gremlins who don't know where that is, it's in Italy. I was in Japan last holidays and she was in Europe! So it kind of worked out well otherwise I'd be left alone (forever alone) with nothing to do for the whole holiday :-)

I really wanted to buy a pair of shoes from the Smith Family.. but they were $20 and i could do so much better.. these brown shoes were amazing. But I didn't buy them.

This pair is from Salvos.. the black pair is so amazing.. but I already have a pair exactly like it. Hehe which I got from Urban Outfitters a while back. I hate living on a budget, the only things I got where a dolphin pin for 50c and a sky blue checkered shirt for $1. Argh. After buying my silly camera I'm now broke.. to the max :-(

PS: Weather hasn't been very nice to me.. so now Outfit Posts just yet. Will true to squeeze one in either before Christmas or just after.. and also.. nearly 40,000 page views!

Cooking & Decorating for the Season

So after neglecting my blog like an unwanted child for a few days, I am back! It's nearing the festive season and my family isn't really all festive-y, so not much happens in my household. Though, I am lucky enough to have friends who do go full out on the Christmas spirit, and I got to decorate a Christmas Tree, make (fail) Pudding and even score free fairy lights from them (and a printer!) as a Christmas gift to decorate my room. Oh, and I did attempt to make Nutella Hot Chocolate with cream over a recipe I saw on Sarah Diggity's tumblr.. after trolling her tumblr for about 4 hours looking at the hilarous stuff on it.. so it's probably on page 10203494568456. :-)

After 10,000 suggestions in my mind on where to put my fairy lights, I finally settled on weaving it through my birdcage and making a zig zag shape along the wood chunks on my ceiling all the way across my room. At first, they were around my table, then my bed, then across straight the ceiling, and then I settled on this design. I plan on getting more cages and stringing the lights through them.. that's more to come! :-)

Our Christmas pudding was slightly overcooked and they were still nice and soft and fluffy but they were really.. erm.. broken and unstable. lol. But they were fun to cook anyway. :-)

Hope you're all as happy as I am this Christmas season because Christmas is a time for haters to retreat to their tiny caves and have little burst of happiness where nobody can see them.. it's a good time for everybody! So I hope this time of giving and forgiveness is amazing for all of you, everybody in this world, and I will ATTEMPT to do some sort of Outfit post.. if weather permits.. it's meant to be sunny! But now it's hailing, raining and there are some streaks of sunlight! This weather sucks lemons.

So I guess that's it. I'm doing another photo shoot in the holidays with a lovely lady friend from back home and I may publish that on my blog.. Hm. So in the meantime, don't sweat too much from the blistering Australian sun if you're in Australia, and don't freeze to death if you're in America.. and for all those in between; just have a wonderful week. :-)

Jennifer, Jennifer (Part One)

Hello All! Welcome to the premier of the beautiful Jennifer Wang's photo shoot! All photos have been shot by me and the use of these pictures need to be authorized with me before publishing anywhere else on the internet.

So, this is Part One of the Photo Shoot. Jennifer is simply dressed with a white lace dress which reflects the theme of this photo shoot to "Solitude Being". I would just like to say that this is my first photo shoot so leave some constructive criticism by commenting on this post and I hope you enjoy! :-)

So that's it, the first part of Jennifer's photo portfolio. Part two will be out Monday! Stay tuned! :-) And to the more specifics, these pictures were taken when the sun was just about to set on the Hurlstone Cross Country Course. It was fun and not as painful as we all thought it would be!

Yay! SCHOOLS OUT! With that, it's Year 10 Formal. I'm not in Year 10 yet, but I can assure you I loved taking photos for the pre-party. Everybody looked so freaking amazing and I can not stress enough how much I'm going to enjoy the next couple of years with them.

The whole boarder "community". That's one of the many benefits of being a boarder, togetherness. It's really quite lovely. And everyone looks extraordinary.. Photo spam!

I can't wait till my formal.. and for someone else to come and take the photos, it's gonna be incredible. But I don't plan on wearing a black suit, it's so un-original.. I wanna try something more pastel. But, I still have 12 long months!

Still after all these photos, there are none of me.. as usual. It's good being the person who takes the photos.. because then there aren't any shocking ones of yourself! :3

OH! I got my 50mm in the mail alongside my petal hood. They're both so beautttttiful! I'm giving my 18-55mm a break (from it's crappiness) and letting it look beautiful with a hood on it. So now, I'm using the 50 which takes AMAZING incredible photos. Thank you eBay.

Speaking of which, there a F- load of spiders just laundering around my house. And for the people who know me, spiders are the equivalent of a murderer running loose in my bedroom. Those things freak me out times 10,000. Damn Spring, take your offspring and leave, it's Summer now! But then again , there are so many butterflies as well. THREE flying around each other. It's so cool but at the same time disgusting because I can't help think that they're having a butterfly threesome.. or someone's third wheeling. Just watching it is awkward.

We'll All Be Gone One Day

So school's nearly out for a good two months and all I'm doing now is taking copious amounts of Black and white photos alongside staying up until 2am in the morning watching 18 episodes of Glee. Yes, I do look like a soul that's been butchered, chained, tortured and abused after these constant Glee-a-thons, but Glee is so feel good. It's much better than choking down 10 cups of chai lattes and a coffee just to get through the lonely, depressing days of a cold, summer it's been. SO HERE. Enjoy some pictures of me at 2am in the morning.. all bright and ready for the day. Don't judge my eyes or my face.. it was 2 in the morning and I decided it'd be a wondrous idea to take vanity filled photos to show all my readers just how dangerously sexy I can get when I deprave myself of sleep.

Another thing, this week has absolutely been freaking amazing, going out with my whole year group, and watching some pretty talented people dance is on my repotoire of things to do on a perfect week. I didn't get to photo shoot this week with the lovely Jennifer Wang (Above B&W) because of the silly weather.. though this week I shall! Look out for the summer people, because Jennifer Wang is here to get you started on it! :-D

I also love my PASS class, this year PASS has just been nothing but complete, total bludge, and here is some photo proof of our class.. braiding Zach The Troll's hair during class.

Anyway, this week has been incredible. Next week is the last week of being in Year 9. This year has been great, amazing in fact. Thank you to everybody who's been apart of it. You've all be amazing.
